More Life with Cancer
We opened The Ghosh Center with a simple pledge: Patients First. We believed that if patients were the primary focus, everything would improve – treatment, teamwork, patient satisfaction, outcomes – everything. Turns out we were right.
Our emphasis on patients has yielded extraordinary results. In less than ten years, our clinic has achieved five-year survival rates for metastatic cancer that are four times greater than the national rate. We’ve been ranked in the top 1% for patient experience four years running. Our quality scores consistently outpace national standards by a long shot. Best of all, patients like you are living full and meaningful lives.
What’s our secret? We get this question a lot. Patients-first is such a part of our DNA that we had to stop and think about it. What’s so different about our care? What sets us apart on a day-to-day basis?
A Better Kind of Cancer Care
This led us to develop a set of best practices based on what’s worked for our patients. It comes down to five cornerstones:
Shared decision-making
Prompt management of complications
Whole-person care
Proactive financial assistance
Focus on quality of life
This model of care has the potential to help cancer patients everywhere. So, we’re taking an important next step to share what we know. We’re starting a movement, and we’d like you to come along.
We’re calling it More Life with Cancer. More life in every sense of the word – longer life expectancy for patients, better quality of life in the here and now. We’ve created a More Life with Cancer website and Facebook page to spread the news.
Our goal is to benefit cancer patients no matter where they live. We aim to equip them and the people who love them with knowledge to guide their choices. We strive to help healthcare providers improve their approach to treatment.
